Original notes
Street Aprilias in “GP replica” plastics are auction noise. A factory RS-GP 20 that actually started World Championship rounds is a different object. Iconic Auctioneers’ NEC Classic Motor Show motorcycle sale lists this machine as a works 2020 Aprilia MotoGP bike raced by Aleix Espargaró, later transferred from Aprilia into his collection (2022) and now offered by him with a set of that season’s leathers, helmet, boots, and gloves. Public lot identity includes frame TFI20 12 and engine M200312 CL-011-2020. That is Path C works scarcity with a named rider trail — G2 does not need a production table of five hundred street bikes.
The 2020 RS-GP chapter was a revised package: new double-rail alloy frame, revised V90, aero updates, seamless gearbox. Results were midfield — Espargaró’s best finish that year is widely cited as eighth at the Portuguese finale — which is exactly why this dossier is about hardware class, not podium mythology. Factory Marelli ignition, Akrapovič exhaust, Öhlins, Brembo with carbon fronts, full carbon body: the specification language of a works entry, not a track-day convert. Catalog notes say it is in running order but will need Aprilia help before further use — diligence, not a Rare Machines certification.
Score 88. Production/survival is works one-of-season iron in private hands; specification is correct factory MotoGP; provenance is rider-owned continuity; documentation is lot paperwork plus delivery notes as cited; market appearances of intact factory Aprilia MotoGP bikes remain rare; condition points tempered by “needs factory assistance” language. Diversifies the moto board off MV Agusta and sits beside — not competing with — the Hailwood RC173 Ultra pick.

Watcher’s checklist
- Confirm frame/engine stamps against Aprilia delivery notes.
- Inventory included rider kit (leathers/helmet/boots/gloves).
- Budget Aprilia recommissioning before any parade plan.
- Separate 2020 race record from later collection storage.
- Re-check Iconic lot status before you act.
